Welcome to Clinical Anatomy

We are pleased to present our historical collection of anatomical drawings on this website.

These drawings were created for the Department of Anatomy (now Department of Cellular and Physiological Sciences) at the University of British Columbia in the 1950s and 1960s. They show anatomy specimens from our museum collection, which were prosected by faculty for medical education.

In particular the Nan Cheney collection of anatomical art is a testament to the rich tradition of medical illustration.

The 3D movies are reconstructions from MRI and CT scans using the NIH Visible Human Dataset.
